- A minimum investment of 3,000 CHF towards your licence fee (representing €1,500 per subject for maths and English)
- You need to budget an additional 1,500 - 2,000 CHF for marketing activity across your first 12 months of business
- You need to allow for rent or hire of premises, as well as other minimal running costs
- In the case of franchise re-sales, a fee is paid to the outgoing Instructor for taking over their business
- You’ll set your own fees, typically in the region of 80 CHF per subject, per month, which parents pay to you directly
- You’ll be aiming to have average subject numbers of 150-200 subjects in your centre
- You’ll pay KUMON a fixed cost royalty fee for each student/subject, so it's easy to project your income
- The KUMON royalty fee covers the Kumon learning materials, your ongoing training and support and much more!
- You’ll benefit from generous rent and fit-out subsidies towards starting up in a dedicated venue

Attend a whole-day Orientation Meeting
We get to know each other personally and you have the opportunity to try the role of an instructor. Using examples, we analyse children's skills and we discuss how these can be further developed in the study centre. You will also get a deeper insight into the KUMON method and the KUMON worksheets.

Discuss your vision of your own KUMON study centre with one of our staff members. Together we will find the ideal location for the successful start of your success story with KUMON. With the help of our easy-to-understand business plan template, we develop an outlook for the economic success of your start-up.
Financial and other safeguarding checks
If you decide to start the exciting process of becoming a KUMON Instructor, we will need to require certain financial and other documentation from you.
Training
You’ll be given extensive ongoing training on the Kumon English and Maths Programmes over a three week period at our offices in XXXX
Open your centre
Your KUMON Area Manager and the markting team will give you extensive support to help get you up and running. They are there to make sure you get off to a great start.
